If you are planning to get a degree at a university, you are still charged with this challenge: What do you plan to learn next?
This blog will capture some of the topics that are offered for the Global Skills Certificate through Trinidad University.


The program is entirely online with feedback by telephone, skype, email, and one-on-one evaluation and feedback (face to face or via Skype or via telephone).

The Nine Factors
1 Posters (let the walls teach)
2 Individual Education Plans or Personal Learning Plans
3 "17 Principles" by Barak Rosenshine, recommended by Richard E. Clark
4 Digital Portfolios (made with Google Sites or other free software) and Personal Digital Libraries
5 Narratives (in addition or instead of transcripts)
and Exhibitions (in addition to written tests)
6 Finding Mentors (connecting ex students with current students)
7 Long Term Relationships
8 Flipping the Classroom
9 We don't know what we don't know
The students will give us feedback... how can we teach what we don't know/

These are programs that are available for teachers who want additional training. The concepts come from readings with Richard E. Clark, Abraham S. Fischler and a collection of business writers and TED presenters who have given us prescriptions for shaping the school curriculum. Tony Wagner, Malcolm Gladwell, Ken Robinson, Dan Pink, Thomas Friedman and Sugata Mitra are some of the influences.
